Installation: Ash on Canvas, Voice and Text

Ash almost falls like snow. I stick out my tongue and catch a flake from my childhood. To my surprise it tastes bitter. The earth beneath me is dry and hot. In 2021, large parts of the Greek island of Evia burn down in an uncontrolled forest fires.

The multi-media installation „Asche fällt fast wie Schnee“ visually processes traces of the fires. The project uses ash and coal from Evia, to print structures recalling charred trees, dry earth and wrinkled skin. Sonically, it processes the apocalyptic scenes from a sensual, subjective perspective.

Installation: Asche auf Leinwand, Stimme und Text

Asche fällt fast wie Schnee. Ich strecke meine Zunge aus und fange eine Flocke meiner Kindheit. Sie schmeckt bitter. Die Erde unter mir ist trocken und heiß. Im Jahr 2021 brennen große Teile der griechischen Insel Evia bei einem unkontrollierten Waldbrand ab.

Die multimediale Installation „Asche fällt fast wie Schnee“ verarbeitet die Spuren der Brände visuell. Das Projekt verwendet Asche und Kohle aus Evia, um Strukturen zu drucken, die an verkohlte Bäume, trockene Erde und faltige Haut erinnern. Klanglich verarbeitet es die apokalyptischen Szenen aus einer sinnlichen, subjektiven Perspektive.
