radio.rituals – open sonic lab is an open platform for improvised radio performances and experimental practices involving sound, voice, and text.

The project builds on the Radio Rituals radio programme, which ran from 2023 to 2025 and was broadcast on bauhaus.fm and Radio Lotte Weimar. While the original format consisted of one-hour broadcasts hosted by Cosmo Schüppel with changing guests, radio.rituals – open sonic lab, developed in collaboration with sound artist Thai Thai Pham, expands this framework into durational sessions lasting between six and twelve hours. These broadcasts are transmitted via Weird Fishes Radio Berlin and Sphere FM Leipzig.

The open sonic lab provides a space for participants to explore and extend forms of expression through listening, improvisation, and collective experimentation over extended periods of time. Since its inception in 2024, the project has built a small but dedicated community of recurring and new participants.
